With Multilingual Edge, FuzzyScan scanners can be configured to output multiple languages via various host interfaces, including Bluetooth, USB and RS232. The Multilingual Edge feature enables users to communicate without linguistic barriers, expanding business horizons.
With the Multilingual Edge feature, FuzzyScan 2D scanners can be configured to output
practically any language in Unicode format, code pages and go beyond ASCII characters.
In addition to Western European languages, FuzzyScan 2D Scanners will also translate data into Arabic, Greek,
Russian, Turkish, and more. Your scanners can also be set to output Asian languages such as simplified
Chinese, traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
FuzzyScan 2D and linear barcode scanners also support ALT Code output on MS Windows hosts. By enabling the “Universal” keyboard output, those special characters signs, symbols, accented letters of Latin language, mathematical symbols covered by ASCII and extended ASCII will be sent as a sequence of ALT Code plus numeric keypad value via MS Windows host.
We recognize the need for flexibility when it comes to host connections, and this is reflected in our designs. Multilingual Edge is compatible with a vast array of host equipment running Windows, Linux, or Mac OS, such as laptops, or tablets. This feature also works whether your scanner is connected to its host via USB HID, USB COM, Bluetooth HID or SPP mode. Moreover, data can be transmitted onto different word processors, like Microsoft Word, Notepad or WordPad.
Users can further enhance their Multilingual Edge experience by activating the ECI function on their FuzzyScan 2D scanners. ECI, or Extended Channel Interpretation, is optional information that can be embedded within a QR code, Data Matrix code, or PDF417 barcode to provide details about the encodings. When the ECI function is enabled, you can choose a corresponding multilingual output format based on the barcode's ECI (if available) for your 2D scanner.
